To give God glory – The ultimate purpose of mankind is to worship God in all His glory

by making His name known – We want to help everyone to hear about God and His plan for mankind

by sending and supporting – We want to prepare, send and support proclaimers of God’s story

Witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ - We want to be living, aggressive witnesses of Jesus Christ

especially those from SVBC – We want to see SVBC people involved in fulfilling this mission mandate

to people groups near and far - We want to make disciples of Jesus Christ locally and globally

especially those who are unreached with the gospel – We want to be intentional about reaching the unreached

SVBC Philosophy of Mission

In seeking to fulfill the Great Commission, Christ's charge to the church is to "make disciples of all nations", that is all people groups throughout the world.  SVBC's goal is to make fully-devoted followers of Christ by proclaiming His Gospel and teaching people to OBEY His commandments in our community, our nation, our culture and the world at large.

Therefore, we will focus our resources and expend our efforts with a balanced outreach plan based on Acts 1:8...

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth 

Jerusalem Team: focuses on ministries initiated by the members of SVBC, most often carried out on the church campus.

Judea Team: focuses on partnering with local organizations/ministries in our community and on sending our members into the community to minister.

Samaria Team: focuses on reaching our nation, most often crossing cultural barriers of languages, customs, religions, and  social/economic statuses that are different than our own.

Ends of the Earth Team: focuses internationally, with highest priority given to the un-reached and un-evangelized.
