Each week at SVBC, we have preschoolers, students and their leaders hiding God's Word in their heart in our Awana Clubs. Club meetings are held during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the main building. Registration is open each Wednesday no later than 6:15 just inside the glass doors on the I81 side of the building.
AWANA, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Asahmed, is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. We achieve this goal through age-appropriate scripture memorization and Bible lessons. This helps our children to hide the Word of God in their hearts.
SVBC Awana is broken down into four clubs based on age:
![]() |
PUGGLES Puggles (2-year olds): introduces young children to basic Bible truths at church and equips parents to teach them at home. |

CUBBIES Cubbies (preschool): celebrates preschoolers’ spiritual potential by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word. |
| SPARKS Sparks (K-2): teaches children about the people and events of the Bible. This builds a foundation of wisdom for knowing Jesus. |

TRUTH & TRAINING Truth & Training (third to fifth grade): answers kids’ key questions about God and the Bible, guiding them to grow in His grace. |
| TREK (24-7 Ministries) Trek (sixth to eighth grade): challenges middle-school students to consider their destiny in Christ and pursue it through life application of God's Word. |
|
| JOURNEY (24-7 Ministries) SVBC does not have a formal Journey (ninth to twelfth grade) club. However, mentors are available for high schoolers who wish to work toward their Citation award. This is done through the Awana C-Track independent study program. For more details, contact the Awana Commander ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
